Arbroath was buzzing today, everyone seemed to be out enjoying the sunshine! We stopped in at Arbroath Market in Victoria Park, their first market since September, and it was super busy. Pre-covid the market was held in Arbroath High Street but was moved to Victoria Park last year to accommodate social distancing regulations and I think it’s really nice being so open next to the sea.
There was a lot of space between the stalls, which were selling all sorts of food, alcohol and crafts. It might look a bit too spaced out in the photo, but it actually gave it a really nice vibe. There was room to sit on the grass and eat your wood fired pizza from Haydn’s Woodfired Pizza, burger from Smoking Barrels or enjoy a leisurely walk around with the dog.
Cuppy time at Arbroath Market
The Dundee Bean Machine was definitely a stand out in the park in its big shiny red van! There was quite a long queue so we walked around first to see what all was available. But ended up back at Dundee Bean Machine because we actually didn’t notice anywhere else selling coffee.
It didn’t disappoint though, the coffee was very smooth and he had a few dairy free milk options! This always amazes me because there are so many chains that still don’t offer alternatives – I was at Greggs last week and couldn’t get a coffee because they didn’t have any dairy free options!!
Monthly Market in Victoria Park, Arbroath
The market runs from 10am til 2pm on the last Sunday of the month. There was loads of delicious looking cakes at the various stalls but we didn’t give in to them today…maybe next time!
Check out their Facebook* page for a list of all the stalls and to keep up-to-date with their events.
*Not an affiliate link, I just love finding good places for a cuppy.
